What was the cause of recent storms in the mid-west a sign of the end of the world?

I’ve never seen storms like the tornadoes that recently tore up the mid-west and not to mention back to back storms.  I’ve heard people say it because of global warming and it a sign of the end of the world neither makes much sense to me so I thought I ask to see what other people are thinking.
